Gull Cove Lodge Photography Retreat
A day shaped by tide, light, and wild possibility
Based out of Gull Cove Lodge, this photo expedition offers rare access to one of Southeast Alaska’s most wildlife-rich coastal regions. Traveling by large, comfortable vessel, we spend the day moving with conditions—not a checklist—allowing the landscape and wildlife to guide our time.
While bears are a primary focus during spring, the experience extends far beyond a single species. These waters and shorelines are alive with possibility: humpback whales and orca in open channels, sea otters rafting near kelp beds, puffins and seabirds working the shoreline, and even hummingbirds flitting through the forest edges. Onshore opportunities allow time with wildlife, spring flowers, and quiet moments inside the rainforest itself.
This is not a rushed tour. It is an unhurried day designed for photographers who value patience, access, and the freedom to respond to what unfolds.
